The safety and secuirty of all users of MVC is above all most important. Unfortunatly we live in a world where some people will take advantage of others via means of theft, fraud etc. So we encourage all users of MVC to read some tips on how to avoid conflict and stay safe.
Simple ways to avoid conflic and stay safe.
Communicate
Good communication is key to a good sale / purchase.
No Pressure
Neither party sould feel under preasure to buy or sell.
Be Honest.
Honesty is the best policy, from both parties.
Respect
Avoid using bad language when dealing with issues.
Personal Data.
Never give out your personal details. Address, phone number, bank details.
Face to Face.
Never meet face to face at either parties home. Esspecially alone.
Payments.
Don’t give your bank details. Use a third party payment provider.
Research.
Where possable reaserch the seller to afirm authentication and trust.
Chat.
Register and use the MVC chat feature to communicate with sellers.
Meet in Public.
When meeting in public always take someone you trust with you.
Paying Cash.
Never take aditional cash & bank cards when meeting face to face.
Location.
Whether your the buyer or seller, never meet at your vehicle or their’s
Email.
Create an email address just for contacting buys & sellers on MVC
Deliveries.
Agree to get deliveries sent to a parcel shop and not your home address.
Refunds.
Utilise payment providers to process / request refunds when required.
Ask.
Ask the seller to send additional or more detailed photos of the item.
